STEP 3: COMPLETE ELDT THEORY

STEP 4: COMPLETE BEHIND-THE-WHEEL TRAINING

Behind-the-wheel instruction allows students to practice vehicle inspections, basic control skills and on-road driving. Consistent attendance matters because each lesson builds on earlier skills.

True Safety’s daytime Class A program is two weeks, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Evening and weekend options may also be available.

STEP 5: TAKE THE CDL SKILLS TEST

The CDL skills test generally evaluates the pre-trip inspection, basic vehicle-control skills and on-road driving. Students should be prepared to demonstrate the required procedures safely and consistently.

Passing training alone does not automatically issue a CDL. You must meet Colorado’s licensing requirements and successfully complete the required testing.

COST AND FUNDING
