CDL Refund Policy

True Safety is committed to maintaining a clear and fair refund policy for students enrolled in our CDL training programs.

Students Not Accepted for Enrollment

Any applicant who is not accepted for enrollment by True Safety is entitled to a full refund of all monies paid.

Cancellation Within Three Business Days

A student may cancel their enrollment agreement at any time prior to midnight of the third business day after signing the enrollment agreement.

Students who cancel within this three-business-day period are entitled to a full refund of all tuition and fees paid.

Cancellation Before Classes Begin

A student who withdraws after the three-business-day cancellation period, but before the commencement of classes, is entitled to a full refund of tuition and fees paid, less a cancellation charge.

The cancellation charge will not exceed $150 or 25% of the contract price, whichever is less.

Withdrawal After Training Has Begun

If a student withdraws or is terminated after classes have begun, the amount of the refund will be determined based on the percentage of the program's contact hours the student has attended.

The following refund schedule applies to both the Class A CDL and Class B CDL programs:

Refund Amount Based on Program Completion

Within the first 10% of the program
90% refund, less cancellation charge

After 10% but within the first 25% of the program
75% refund, less cancellation charge

After 25% but within the first 50% of the program
50% refund, less cancellation charge

After 50% but within the first 75% of the program
25% refund, less cancellation charge

After 75% of the program
No refund

The refund calculation is based on the student’s official date of termination or withdrawal.

Determining the Official Withdrawal Date

The official date of termination or withdrawal will be determined by:

  • The date True Safety receives written notice from the student stating their intention to discontinue the training program;

  • The date the student violates a published school policy that results in termination; or

  • If a student fails to return from an approved leave of absence, the earlier of the date True Safety determines the student will not be returning or the day following the student's expected return date.

Refund Processing

Any refund owed to a student will be issued within 30 days of the student's official termination or withdrawal date.

Program Discontinuation

If True Safety discontinues a program or stand-alone course within the period of time in which a student could reasonably have completed the program, the student will receive a full refund of tuition and fees paid, subject to the provisions contained in the school's enrollment agreement and catalog.

Previous Training or Transfer Credit

Any credit granted for previous training does not change or otherwise affect this refund policy.
