Grievance Procedure

True Safety is committed to providing all students with a professional, respectful, and supportive learning environment. Students have the right to raise concerns or file a grievance regarding their training experience without fear of retaliation.

Purpose

This Grievance Procedure provides students with a clear process for addressing concerns related to their enrollment or participation in True Safety's CDL training programs.

A grievance may include, but is not limited to, concerns regarding:

  • Training or instruction

  • Instructor or staff conduct

  • Program policies or requirements

  • Scheduling or training hours

  • Tuition, fees, refunds, or other financial matters

  • Disciplinary actions

  • Testing or program completion requirements

  • Discrimination, harassment, or unfair treatment

  • Health or safety concerns

  • Any other matter related to the student's training experience

Step 1: Informal Resolution

Whenever appropriate, students are encouraged to first discuss their concern with their instructor, Class Manager, or another appropriate True Safety staff member.

True Safety will make a good-faith effort to address and resolve concerns promptly and fairly.

Students are not required to confront an individual directly if they are uncomfortable doing so or if the grievance involves discrimination, harassment, retaliation, safety concerns, or other serious misconduct.

Step 2: Formal Written Grievance

If the concern is not resolved informally, or if the student prefers to submit a formal grievance immediately, the student may submit the grievance in writing to True Safety management.

The written grievance should include, when applicable:

  • Student's name and contact information

  • Date of the incident or concern

  • Description of the grievance

  • Names of individuals involved

  • Any relevant documentation or supporting information

  • The resolution or outcome the student is requesting

Written grievances may be submitted by email to info@truesafetyservices.com or delivered to:

True Safety
2400 W. 29th Street
Greeley, CO 80631

Step 3: Review and Response

True Safety management will review the grievance and may contact the student, instructors, staff members, or other involved parties to obtain additional information.

True Safety will provide the student with a written response within 10 business days of receiving the formal grievance whenever reasonably possible. If additional time is required to investigate the matter, the student will be notified.

The response will explain the findings of the review and, when appropriate, any corrective action or proposed resolution.

Step 4: Appeal

If the student is not satisfied with the resolution, the student may submit a written request for further review by True Safety ownership or senior management within 10 business days of receiving the initial written decision.

The appeal should explain why the student believes additional review is warranted and include any new or relevant information.

A final written determination will be provided after the appeal has been reviewed.

Non-Retaliation

True Safety prohibits retaliation against any student who raises a concern, submits a grievance, participates in an investigation, or exercises their rights under this procedure in good faith.

Filing a grievance will not negatively affect a student's enrollment, training opportunities, testing eligibility, or access to services solely because the student raised a concern.

Confidentiality

True Safety will make reasonable efforts to maintain the privacy of students involved in the grievance process. Information may be shared with employees, instructors, agencies, or other individuals when necessary to investigate or resolve the grievance or when required by law.

External Complaints

Students may also have the right to submit a complaint or grievance to an applicable state or federal agency, workforce program, funding agency, or regulatory authority.

Participation in True Safety's internal grievance process does not prevent a student from exercising any rights available to them under applicable law or through an appropriate government or oversight agency.

Commitment to Students

True Safety takes student concerns seriously and is committed to resolving grievances in a timely, professional, consistent, and fair manner. Our goal is to provide every student with a safe learning environment and a high-quality CDL training experience.
