Why is PEC Veriforce Safeland Training a Requirement For Oil and Gas Contractors?

Originally, the SafeLand Training material was created as an introduction to the oil and gas industry workers. The content covers vast aspects of the safety requirements, awareness, procedures, and hazards that petroleum, oil and gas workers may encounter. There are many things to watch out for on oil patches and various work sites, and these workers can quickly become exhausted from all of the hard work. Since it isn’t uncommon for oil field workers to put in 10-14 hour days, it is especially important for them to stay safe. Some of the most common injuries that drilling contractors/oil field workers face are fractures, burns, TBIs (Traumatic Brain Injuries), paralysis, crushed limbs, detrimental neck and back injuries, and fatalities.

The more workers become mentally and physically exhausted on the work site, the more it increases their risks of injuries and death. Oil field workers are known to have strength, grit, and to just “get the job done” regardless of many circumstances. Here at True Safety, we understand that there’s a push for productivity and profit, however workers need to have some sort of healthy balance in order to get the job done safely and efficiently.

Since we provide PEC Veriforce Safeland and SafeGulf training, we’re able to educate workers on how to properly work safely, use their worker rights (under OSHA)  when necessary, and how to overall have a successful career in the booming industry.

PEC Veriforce Safeland USA is an 8-hour training class, and we offer it in-person and virtually via live zoom video conference. The instructors blend in storytelling, open discussions, and group questions to keep this training engaging and memorable. We have an available PEC Veriforce SafeGulf training that customers can add on to their Safeland training when necessary. Typically, this is for any contractors that conduct offshore drilling or have an offshore drilling rig or upcoming project. The SafeGulf training adds approximately one hour on to the Safeland training. If you need to register students for the Safeland and SafeGulf combo, please contact our office directly.
