Field Safety Coordinator- Pipeline

Job Purpose

To provide support of Environmental Health and Safety standards and programs for our clients. To identify hazards, and corrective actions for all tasks performed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct field safety audits/ mock OSHA assessments/ identify hazards and generate solutions
  • Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of the HS&E programs in the field
  • Site Safety Supervision­ oversee all contractors on location to ensure compliance with the operator’s EHS standards and OSHA regulations
  • Investigate all near misses and generate solutions for preventative action items
  • Conduct incident investigations, and generate a written report
  • Assist in the revision of safety programs and SOPs
  • Maintain a high level of visibility on location to participate, observe, and coach personnelon working safely and conducting effective JSAs and hazard recognition
  • Monitor “safety and work” performance of contractors and coordinate with contractor personnel to understand safety performance gaps and implement improvement plans.
  • Communicates best practices, lessons learned, safety and environmental alerts to contractors

KNOWLEDGE

  • Familiar with local, state, and federal codes as they apply to pipeline construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate health and safety related risks with tasks.
  • Understanding EHS Policy and management system, and consequences for not complying with the companies EHS Program.
  • Knowledge of safe work behaviors
  • Knowledge of the safe operation of heavy equipment a must.
